About this track

Start with repositories and commits, then practice staging, inspecting history, branching, sharing work, and resolving conflicts. Git is a distributed version control system: your local repository holds history, and remotes provide a way to exchange it with other people. The command examples are shown for a Unix-like terminal; Git commands are the same on Windows, macOS and Linux, though shell navigation commands can differ.
